The Concord Hospital Education Services Department offers a variety of classes throughout the year. Hospital clinical staff must meet class requirements and or prerequites to participate. The following are examples of classes offered through the education department.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course:
  • Prerequisite: Must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation. Class format in accordance with updated American Heart Association Guidelines. CNEs provided. Attendance certificates are also available.
  • Basic Dysrhythmia Course: Learn to interpret basic cardiac rhythms. Develop critical thinking skills regarding assessment and planning for the patient with rhythm disturbances. CNEs provided.
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior Parts 1 & 2: Part 1 - This 3-hour class teaches the strategies for preventing and diffusing aggressive behavior, including assessment, methods of communication, recognizing stages of conflict and management, diversions, cornering, multiple aggressors and mental conditioning. CNEs provided. Attendance certificates available. Part 2- This 8-hour class includes the principles of balance, movement, and center, strategies for controlling and restraining aggressive individuals and strategies for managing physical confrontations. This is a hands-on class teaching how to maintain a safe environment and self-defense.

The Concord Hospital Education Services Department is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Hampshire Nurses Association Commission on Continuing Education, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
