First Year Residents, 2007-2010

Christopher Allen MD
Chris graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 2007. He attended University of New Hampshire and received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Having grown up in Franklin, NH, he is excited to remain in NH for residency training. Chris is also part of the combined family medicine/preventive medicine program. In his free time he likes to run, play tennis and is an avid Nordic skier.

Mary Cullen DO
Mary graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. Mary also completed her undergraduate degree in medical biology at the University of New England. She is a native of Litchfield, NH and is excited to return to New Hampshire for residency training. In her spare time, Mary enjoys singing, traveling, crocheting and reading.

Jennifer Hendricks DO
Jen graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. As an undergraduate, she attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in psychology. She enjoys traveling and experimenting with new recipes.

Jennifer Holzinger DO
Jennifer is another graduate from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Jennifer grew up in Claremont, NH and attended University of New Hampshire where she received a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. She enjoys skiing, boating, photography and gardening.

Jacki Morse MD
Jacki graduated from University of Texas Southwestern in 2007. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from University of Illinois. She plans to pursue the combined family practice/preventive medicine residency. Jacki enjoys roller blading, dancing, and traveling with friends and family.

Kimberly Stump MD
Kim graduated from University of Texas Southwestern in 2006. As an undergraduate, Kim attended Texas A & M University and received a bachelor’s degree in genetics. Following medical school, Kim had the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill as a healthcare fellow for a Texas congressman. She also plans to pursue the combined family practice/preventive medicine residency. Kim loves singing, hiking, biking and traveling.

Julius Tabe MD
Julius is a 2000 graduate of Universite de Yaoude, which is in Cameroon. Julius worked as a family physician in Cameroon for his mandatory internship year and gained invaluable experience. He enjoys spending time with his family.

Andrew Valeras DO
Andy graduated in 2007 from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an undergraduate, he attended Boston College and graduated with a degree in biology. Before medical school, he worked as a research assistant for two years. Andrew is another New Hampshire native who is excited to be returning for residency training. He enjoys many outdoor activities, as well as finished carpentry and woodworking.

Second-Year Residents, 2006-2009

Arturo Aguilar MD

Arturo graduated from Meharry Medical College in Tennessee in 2006. He completed his undergraduate education in veterinary science at University of Arizona in 2002. During medical school, Arturo was involved with many community volunteer projects. Arturo enjoys skiing, snowboarding, camping and playing volleyball.

Melissa Borthwick MD

Melissa graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2002. Following graduation, Melissa completed three years in a general surgery residency program before transitioning to family practice. In between residencies, she worked as an emergency room physician and hospitalist in a county hospital in Tennessee. Melissa received a bachelor's of science degree in biology from Furman University. She enjoys water sports and yoga.

Daniela Connelly MD

Daniela received her medical degree from Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador in 1999 and master's of public health from Boston University in 2002. Daniela has worked in South Africa researching the impact of HIV and AIDS on healthcare workers. Daniela is a zealous vegetable and fruit gardener and owns a small spice blending company. She also enjoys hiking, botany, spending time with family and friends, and learning new languages—she is already fluent in five.

Eric Kropp MD

Eric graduated from St. Matthew’s University in December 2005. Following his graduation from University of Colorado, he worked as a clinical researcher for several years. Eric enjoys cycling, photography, rock climbing and fine woodworking design.

Sarah Litsch DO

Sarah graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2006. Sarah graduated from Bates College with a degree in biochemistry. During college and medical school, Sarah was an active elementary school volunteer. She enjoys skiing, rollerblading, community theatre and traveling.

Richard McKenzie DO

Rich graduated from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2006. For many years he enjoyed a career as an engineer for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Rich decided to make a career change to the medical field. He was an EMT for several years in Amherst, NH before attending medical school. He currently lives in Amherst and enjoys water sports, camping, hiking and photography. He is fluent in Spanish.

Deborah Meesarapu MD

Deborah graduated from Kasturba Medical College in India. Following graduation she worked as a physician in community hospitals in India. Deborah enjoys knitting and sewing.

Sazia Nowrin MD

Sazia graduated from Bangladesh Medical College. Upon moving to the United States, Sazia worked as a medical assistant in New York City. For several months she worked at Manchester Community Health Center as an extern gaining exposure to the full spectrum of family medicine. Sazia enjoys cooking different ethnic cuisines, reading, singing and traveling. She is fluent in Bengali and conversant in Hindi and Urdu.

Elizabeth Saich MD, MPH

Liz graduated from Harvard College with a degree in biology, earned her Medical Degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School, and completed her Internship in Family Practice at University of Massachusetts. Her interest in health promotion and education led her to the University of Massachusetts Preventive Medicine Residency Program with which she was involved first as a resident, then as faculty, before returning to complete her Family Practice training. She loves the beach, the mountains, nearly all outdoor activities — especially road bicycling and hiking — and being with her husband, children and family.

Sabrina Selim MD

Sabrina graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in June 2006. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's of science degree in molecular and cell biology, Sabrina served in the Peace Corps for two years. She was stationed in Niger and worked in the field of maternal-child health. Additionally, she has volunteered in Serbia. She enjoys traveling, cooking and many outdoor activities.

Third Year Residents, 2005-2008

Eleanor Bueno DO

Eleanor is one of the three residents in this class to have completed an AOA accredited internship program. She graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2005. Eleanor received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from College of the Holy Cross in May 1998. Before medical school, Eleanor worked as a phlebotomist, ophthalmic technician and research assistant. She plays the piano and enjoys traveling, volleyball and college football.

Amit Chander MD

Amit graduated in June 2004 from Ross University School of Medicine. Amit went to Boston University as an undergraduate and majored in biology. He has lived in New Hampshire for many years. He enjoys tennis, golf, exercising, watching movies and all outdoor activities; he has an interest in sports medicine.

Chris Heatherton DO

Chris successfully completed the AOA internship year. He graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2005. Chris received his bachelor's of science degree in business administration and philosophy from St. Michaels College in May 1994. Prior to medical school, Chris worked as a medical assistant in Seattle, WA.

Chris is curious and concerned about politics and hopes to get involved in the healthcare debate. He enjoys most outdoor activities, especially skiing, surfing and mountain biking, as well as history and philosophy.

Linda Hindle DO

Linda joins the class as the third University of New England graduate. She graduated in June 2005. After graduating from New Hampshire College with a master of business administration and a master of science in accounting, Linda worked for several years in the business and private sector. It was through her volunteer work in the Radiation Oncology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital that Linda discovered her passion for medicine. She enjoys hiking the White Mountains, biking, skiing, kayaking and gardening.

Angela Klingler MD

Angie graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2004. As an undergraduate, Angie attended Middlebury College and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in biology and psychology in 1997. Prior to medical school, Angie was a research assistant at Vanderbilt University and a pharmacy technician and clinic assistant at a community health center. Angie and her husband, Lance, have two children. She enjoys volleyball, biking, traveling, skiing and silkscreen printing.

Eliza Shulman DO

Eliza (Pippa) came to the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated in 2004. Pippa completed an AOA internship and is also a Leadership Preventive Medicine resident.

Pippa received her undergraduate degree in biology from Smith College in 1996. Prior to attending medical school, she completed a pre-medical internship at Boston Medical Center and participated in research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

Pippa lives in Manchester, NH. She enjoys seeking out adventure, traveling, and cooking for friends.

Preventive Medicine Residents

Kristin Anderson MD
Kristin graduated from Marshall University in 2003. Kristin received her bachelor of arts in biology from Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH. Her outside interests include oboe and piano playing, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, swimming, running and spending time with family and friends. She has her outpatient clinic at Hillsboro-Deering Family Health.

Lora Council MD
Lora graduated from University of Massachusetts Medical School in June 2004. Lora graduated with a bachelor's of science in biology from Brown University in 1998. She is also one of our Leadership Preventive Medicine residents. She enjoys traveling, creative writing, ecology, hiking, geocaching, and nutrition and is interested in environmental justice.

Sally Ward MD
Sally graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 2003. Sally received her bachelor of arts in economics from Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA and attended Harvard University Extension School in Cambridge, MA. She has strong interests in public health, preventive medicine, adolescents, women’s health and is one of our Paul Ambrose Fellows. She enjoys running, traveling and reading.
