About Us

As one of Concord Hospital’s cornerstone Centers of Excellence, the Payson Center for Cancer Care, approved by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, provides personalized treatment and support for cancer patients and their families, including radiation oncology, medical oncology, and surgery.

Patients of the Payson Center for Cancer Care have access to:

• Board-certified physicians and nationally-certified oncology nurses dedicated to providing quality health care in a warm and caring environment;
• Innovative technology such as On-Board Imaging, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and the 3D ultrasound targeting system;
• A multidisciplinary team of experts, including skilled urologic surgeons trained in minimally invasive laparoscopic prostatectomies with the robotic-assisted da Vinci™ HD surgical system;
• National clinical research trials through New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology, PA (NHOH) and the Concord Hospital Radiation Oncology Department;
• Genetic counseling and testing services, in collaboration with NHOH and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for people at high-risk for developing cancer. A genetic counselor is available to provide expert consultation to patients at the Breast Care Center in collaboration with a physician from NHOH;
• The HOPE Resource Center with healthcare professionals to assist in fulfilling financial, emotional, spiritual, and dietary needs.
