The Center for Urologic Care has access to several state-of-the-art technological advances:

da Vinci Surgical System: The high-definition model of advanced robotic surgical technology for treatment of prostate cancer.
Qualified prostate patients benefiting from surgery with the highly precise, high-definition robotics can experience less pain, fewer risks, and improved outcomes. Concord Hospital’s high-definition, 4-arm da Vinci System—the most advanced version available as of 2007 has twice the effective viewing resolution of older da Vinci Systems.

Holmium Laser Ablation: A minimally invasive procedure for men who suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate.
This outpatient procedure is administered using a thin flexible fiber that transmits laser energy directly to the prostate with a high degree of precision and accuracy. The laser energy effectively vaporizes the obstructing tissue and seals the area, providing immediate symptom relief.

Storz SLX-F2 Lithotripter: A state-of-the-art device used to precisely fragment kidney and ureteral stones—among the most painful conditions patients can experience.
While lithotripsy has been available at Concord Hospital for years, the introduction of the SLX-F2 Lithotripter marks the first time lithotripsy is available on a full-time basis.

AquariusTM TT: This innovative wireless Bluetooth video device allows urologists to diagnose complex conditions and determine the best course of treatment that may or may not include surgery.
The Aquarius integrates fluoroscopic images of the filling and emptying of the bladder, along with bladder pressure managements and rate of urine flow to ascertain a patient's pelvic (or bladder) and neurological condition.
