Certified nurse midwives at Concord Hospital provide a range of primary healthcare services to women, including delivering babies at The Family Place. They provide a safe, women-centered approach to childbirth and view birth as a natural process. Midwives encourage women to consider their options for labor and delivery, and to be active participants in their care.

All Concord Hospital-affiliated nurse midwives have been trained in both nursing and midwifery and are certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives. In the event of a complication during childbirth, they can consult with or call upon Concord Hospital’s board-certified obstetricians as necessary.
